First off, we hope everyone is staying healthy, safe, and at home right now, when possible. Our hearts go out to everyone working on the front lines of this global pandemic. Given everything going on, our team has found that we have some extra time on our hands while staying at home. At Hippie Snacks and Left Coast Naturals, we’re a bit of a competitive bunch and we miss trying to beat each other in our friendly office competitions.  

April is Earth Month, and in fact, it’s the 50th anniversary of Earth Day on April 22nd. Last year we had a ton of fun going head to head during our company wide Eco-Challenge. So we thought to ourselves, how could we bring that back this year when only our essential team is in the office and production facility?  

Luckily we live in the digital age so we present to you… dun da de dahhhhhh!! 

The 2020 Eco-Challenge – Digital Edition! That’s not a mouthful at all now is it? 

Whatever you want to call it, we are putting the challenge out beyond our own company this year. We are inviting our fellow B Corps, local businesses, and our customers and friends, wherever they might be on planet Earth. Join us in the fight against Climate Change while keeping yourself positively occupied and isolated during COVID-19.

The rules are simple:

1. Create your team of 3 and come up with a rad team name
2. Register your team here by April 8th 
3. Complete as many of the tasks on the bingo card as you can between April 1st-30th 
4. Submit your activities each week here
5. Compete to win some amazing prizes from us and our amazing partners – Cera Alba Beeswax Food Wraps, Nature’s Path, Ethical Bean Coffee, and Life Space Gardens 

All the challenges can be done right from the comfort of your home and at a safe distance from others. We came up with this nifty bingo card for you to check off each week. You will have to submit photo evidence for some of the items and there are two “get creative options” on the board so get your eco-brain working. Teams who submit the most creative ideas get an extra chance to be featured in our weekly highlight reel and bonus points. 

So there you have it! Challenge accepted??
